Augmented Analytics / Auto-EDA Platform, Evaluation

Overview

A clone of Kanaries’ open-source RATH, an augmented-analytics tool that automates exploratory data analysis, surfaces patterns, and generates visualizations (including the Graphic Walker Tableau-style explorer). Retained for evaluation; carries extensive upstream history (1,600+ commits) with no studio-authored changes.

Why It Exists

To evaluate automated EDA and AI-augmented visualization, how RATH discovers patterns/associations in tabular data and proposes charts without manual query-building, as inspiration for data-exploration features.

What We Built

No custom development; an upstream snapshot studied as reference. Observed: a TypeScript/React monorepo, the Graphic Walker visual-analysis component, automated insight generation, and Docker Compose deployment.

Technologies & Approach

TypeScript/React with Graphic Walker. Reviewed for its auto-EDA engine and interactive visualization model.

Outcome / Impact

Provided the studio with a reference for augmented-analytics and automated-visualization UX, informing thinking on AI-assisted data tooling. Documented as evaluation/R&D.

Capabilities Demonstrated

  • Evaluating augmented-analytics / auto-EDA platforms
  • Studying interactive data-visualization architectures
